Woolly Wilds slot is a product from All for One Studios a partner of Games Global. In case you’ve missed it Microgaming changed their name to Games Global.
The slot has 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines, so a pretty simple reel setup.
The theme harks back to the ice age where wooly mammoths ruled the plains. The slots studio packs it in with gorgeous graphics and a default RTP of 96.20%.
Note that some online casinos can offer an RTP as low as 86.90%. All for One Studios did not include the size of the jackpot in their stats sheet.
When we see a Microgaming slot these days we usually go uh oh. Though they look great on paper they normally come up short. The betting range is 20 cents up to $5 per spin. If you play in the Gold Mode the maximum wager goes up to $5.
That right there already cuts the jackpot’s size off at the knees. The hit frequency is 26.33% and the volatility is medium variance. Though at times it felt like playing a high variance slot.
The special features of Woolly Wilds include Jackpots, Free Spins, and a Buy Feature. That’s a wrap as far as the features go. The slot plays in different modes starting with the Purple Base Mode or the Golden Mode.
The visual pops in more ways than one and the audio track is on point. More to the point, both do the theme justice. Now, the symbols on the reels comprise low and high values.
The low-pay symbols are the card suits from 10 to Ace that pay up to 2.25x for 5. The top symbols are wolves, big cats, bears, mammoths, and moose.
When 5 matching symbols pitch, they pay up to 15x the stake. The Wilds are the eagle and the hawk, and they substitute symbols adjacent to them. Note that they only pitch on reels 4 and 5.

Jackpots
We’re happy about the addition of 5 jackpots but they’re not progressive jackpots. In other words, their respective values remain the same. The five jackpots are Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand that pay up to $1,000.
If you play the slot in the Gold Mode the Grand Jackpot pays up to $5,000. Just so you know the Gold Mode also has a $25,000 Super Jackpot. The jackpot triggers when 5 matching symbols pitch.
The higher your stake the better your chances of getting a letter which resembles a jackpot. When a jackpot triggers, an arrow appoints the cash prize you’ll win.
Free Spins
You’ll pocket anything from 10, 15 to 25 free spins when 3, 4, or 5 scatters land. Furthermore, scatters wins of up to 100x ensue. When 2 or more scatters appear during the free spins they award 5 free spins.
Moreover, an extra 3 plus scatters equals an extra 10+ free spins. The free spins feature packs a punch since the wilds on reels 4 and 5 stick to the reels.
Buy Feature
Woolly Wilds has one of the “cheaper” buy options we’ve seen. To trigger the free spins feature right away comes with a fee of 50x.

What We Like and Don’t Like About Wolly Wilds
We like the game art of the slot since it’s gorgeous. Though All for One Studios packs it in with bonus rounds and fixed jackpots they “fizzle” out. For more details jump to our “verdict”.
Tips & Strategy
Without repeating ourselves play the slot with free credits before you play for real. The slot looks great but sooner or later looks can be deceiving. It’s also not the slot we’ll play with a bonus.
Some casino gambling sites will give you a small free chip to play it.
How to Win Money Woolly Wilds
That’s a good question because we couldn’t win anything, above 5x the stake at least. Our last big win playing a Microgaming of Games Global slot was with Immortal Romance.
It feels like the slot studio and its partners went off the boil. Then again, maybe that’s just us.
Test the slot in demo mode with free credits for at least 200 spins.
Verdict: Wooly Wilds Slot
When we played the slot we got that sinking feeling that it’s Fire and Roses Jolly Joker all over again. Even though All for One Studios packages it in a different crate.
Admittedly, the slot has a pretty face, but gorgeous graphics never made anyone rich. We like the choice players have between the Base Mode and Gold Mode and the static jackpots.
It appears that All for One Studios tells players to “write their script”, but it’s not the case, unfortunately. The latter mode offers bigger winning potential but it’s also more volatile.
Then there’s the free spins feature with the two stacked wilds on the reels. In theory, Woolly Wilds looks like a winner but it fizzles out fast beyond 150 spins.
We’ll even label that as courageous as best. See the slot as a Valentine’s girlfriend – hit ’em’ hard and fast, then run!
