How Long Do BitStarz Withdrawals Take? Tested at 8 Minutes

Eight minutes. That was the gap between clicking request on a $2,000 AUD Bitcoin withdrawal and watching it land in my wallet.

I have run the same test at a lot of casinos and that number is genuinely unusual. Across six US-facing offshore operators we timed separately, the same kind of crypto cashout took between three and twenty two hours. BitStarz did it in single digit minutes.

🛡️Editorial Transparency: We independently audit all casinos. We may earn a commission if you visit them through our links. Read our Editorial Policy.

There is a reason for that, and it is worth understanding before you assume every crypto casino works this way. Most do not.

The short answer

Crypto: usually 5 to 15 minutes, sometimes under 10.

E-wallets: under an hour once approved.

Cards and bank transfers: several business days, most of it on the banking side.

The thing that turns a ten minute payout into a five day one is almost always verification, not the payment rail.

What the test actually looked like

I deposited, played, and requested $2,000 AUD out via Bitcoin. No support ticket, no document request, no manual approval step that I could see. The status moved to processing almost immediately and the transaction appeared on-chain shortly after.

One result is one result, and I would not promise you the same number. What it does tell you is that the cashier can move that fast, which is more than most operators can demonstrate.

Why it beats US-facing casinos by hours, not minutes

This is the part that explains the gap, and almost nobody covering payout speeds mentions it.

Blockchain confirmation takes minutes on any of these networks. It is not the bottleneck anywhere. What varies enormously is what happens before the payment is sent, which is the operator’s own approval process.

Most US-facing offshore casinos still route withdrawals through a human finance queue. Someone reviews the request, checks the account, and releases it, often in batches during business hours. That is why a Friday night request at those sites becomes a Monday afternoon payout, and why our six operator test produced a spread from three hours to twenty two using identical methods.

BitStarz automates that approval for crypto withdrawals below a threshold. No queue, no batching, no human. The money leaves as soon as the system clears it. Trip a risk rule or go over the threshold and you land in a manual review like anywhere else, at which point the speed advantage disappears entirely. The automation is the product, not the blockchain.

Note the third column. On cards and bank transfers the casino is usually done within hours and everything after that is the banking system. Complaining to support will not move it.

Verification, and why waiting is the mistake

BitStarz does not always ask for documents on small crypto withdrawals. That gets marketed heavily and it is the single most misunderstood thing about the site.

It is a business decision, not a guarantee. Thresholds move, risk rules fire on things you cannot see, and any operator can request documents at any point. Building a plan around not being asked works until the day you win properly, and that is precisely the day you least want a three day review.

So do it on day one instead, while you have nothing at stake and nobody is looking at your account with suspicion. Profile, then Documents, then upload:

  • Photo ID with all four corners in frame and no glare. The name must match your account exactly, middle names included.
  • A utility bill or bank statement under 90 days old showing the same address as your account. Mobile phone bills get rejected more often than people expect.
  • If you deposited by card, a photo with the middle eight digits and the CVV covered, first six and last four visible.

Resubmissions send you to the back of the queue, so getting it right once is worth the extra two minutes. Our guide to frozen accounts covers what compliance teams actually reject and why.

Still waiting after an hour

On crypto, an hour is already unusual here. Work through these in order.

Ask for the transaction hash. Do this first, because it settles the question completely. A payment that has genuinely left the operator’s wallet has a hash you can paste into a public block explorer and see confirmed. If support says a payment is processing and cannot produce one, the money has not been sent, and network congestion is not your problem. Everything below only applies once you know a hash does not exist.

Check for an active bonus. Outstanding wagering blocks withdrawals outright. Either finish the playthrough or forfeit the bonus, and check the counter before requesting rather than after.

Check you have wagered your deposit. Most operators require you to play through your deposit at least once before cashing out. It is an anti money laundering control, it is standard across the industry, and depositing then immediately withdrawing will get flagged rather than processed.

Check the amount against the limits. Requests above the per-transaction ceiling get rejected rather than queued, sometimes without an obvious message. Splitting a large cashout is normal.

Check the address and network. Crypto sent to a wrong address is gone permanently and no operator can reverse it. If you are withdrawing USDT, the network must match your wallet exactly. Copy and paste, never type, and test with a small amount when using a new wallet.

Limits

There is a per-transaction ceiling and it is generous by industry standards, which matters more than it sounds. Plenty of offshore operators cap weekly withdrawals in the low thousands, so a large win becomes a payment plan stretched over months.

Limits change, so read the current banking terms rather than any published figure, ours included. The question worth asking before you deposit anywhere is what happens if you win big, not what happens if you win small.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a BitStarz withdrawal take?

Crypto withdrawals usually complete in 5 to 15 minutes. Our own recorded test moved $2,000 AUD from request to wallet in 8 minutes via Bitcoin. E-wallets take under an hour once approved, while cards run 1 to 5 business days and bank transfers 3 to 7, with most of that delay on the banking side rather than the casino’s.

Why is BitStarz faster than other crypto casinos?

Because crypto withdrawals below a threshold are approved automatically rather than passing through a human finance queue. Most offshore operators still review requests manually in batches, which is why our test across six of them produced results ranging from three to twenty two hours using the same methods. Blockchain speed is not the difference, approval process is.

Does BitStarz require ID verification?

Not always on small crypto withdrawals, but that is a business decision the operator can revisit rather than a guarantee. Larger amounts, fiat withdrawals and anything that trips a risk rule will trigger a request. Uploading documents on day one costs nothing and removes the most common cause of a slow payout.

My Bitcoin withdrawal says pending. What now?

Ask support for the transaction hash before anything else. If they provide one, paste it into a public block explorer and the money is genuinely on its way. If they cannot, nothing has left their wallet and the delay is on their side, not the network’s. After that, check for outstanding bonus wagering and confirm you have played through your deposit at least once.

Which coin should I withdraw in?

Litecoin or USDT if you want the most consistent result, since both confirm faster and cheaper than Bitcoin and neither suffers during network congestion. That said, the difference between coins is measured in minutes here. Match the network exactly when withdrawing USDT, because a mismatch means the funds are unrecoverable.

Can I withdraw a large win in one go?

There is a per-transaction ceiling, and it is higher than most offshore operators offer, but limits change so check the current banking terms before you plan around a figure. Requests above the ceiling tend to be rejected rather than queued, so splitting a large cashout across several requests is normal rather than a sign of a problem.

Worth knowing

The eight minute payout is real and it is not typical of the market. What makes it possible is automated approval, and that automation switches off the moment something looks unusual, which is why verifying early matters more here than the coin you pick.

If you want the detail on bonus terms, game range and how the site handles Australian players specifically, that is all in our full BitStarz review. For how it compares on speed against everything else we have timed, see the fast payout casino guide and our recorded payout tests.

Play responsibly. Fast withdrawals are a good thing, but so is the friction of waiting. When money moves out in eight minutes it can move back in just as quickly, so decide what you are keeping before you cash out rather than after.
