Rumble Rhino Megaways
Rumble Rhino Megaways is a Megaways slot from Pariplay with 6 reels, and up to 7 symbols per spin. The leftmost and rightmost reels only go up to 6, which caps the potential at 86,436 ways to win. An unusual connection, but we see more and more studios using the Megaways concept nowadays.
What’s striking is that Pariplay didn’t create a new slot for their first outing. Instead, they combined one of their older slots with the system to see what would happen. PariPlay adds a bit of extra juice to Rumble Rhino Megaways. There are Mega Symbols, Mystery Symbols, and a Free Spins feature.
The playing field is a bit underwhelming too. There’s no max win, but we can tell you that this is a high volatility online slot! The hit frequency is 14.24%. The betting range is a bit strange as well, the min bet per spin is $0.50 to $5. You can play Rumble Rhino Megaways across our best Australian online casinos!
The default RTP of Rumble Rhino Megaways is 96.16%. That’s nicely above average, so no complaints there. It’s one of those games with RTP ranges, though, so watch out for its worse versions.
The graphics of Rumble Rhino Megaways are okay, though not exciting. You’ll get to visit African animals, which act as high pays. There are meerkats, zebras, cheetahs, and even gorillas. Those can net you win up to 2.5x your bet. Low pays are only about card ranks, as you’d expect. Rhino Wilds can land as well and sub for adjacent symbols.
The middle four reels carry Mega Symbols alongside normal pay symbols. These are huge symbols that can cover many positions and improve your number of ways to win that way. Note that only pay symbols can land as Mega Symbols. So don’t count on getting any Rhino Wilds in that form!
Mystery Symbols look like masks in Rumble Rhino Megaways. They can show up all over the board and then reveal matching pay symbols. Suffice to say that this improves your winning chances. Also, these Mystery Symbols can land as Mega Symbols.
Land one Diamond Scatter on each of the outer reels and you’ll trigger the Free Spins Feature. There are no twists for those free spins, though. You’ll just get 12 free spins to play through, with nothing added. Retriggers are possible in the same way.
Rumble Rhino Megaways is unfortunately not for us. We totally dig slots with the Megaways slot system but this one left a bitter taste.
Moreover, it pales in comparison with the other contemporary Megaways slots. They are full of Cascades, win multipliers, and other innovative streaks. Rumble Rhino Megaways has none of that. As such, the online slot started becoming monotonous after 50 spins. Plus, the Mystery Symbols and the Mega Symbols seldom deliver the big wins in the base game. The biggest win we got in a base game spin was 12x.
The low 14.24% hit rate does not help either. When payouts seldom pitch the slot became a slog. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but it’s clear that you shouldn’t play this slot to clear a bonus. Instead, rather play low variance and medium variance slots to clear the bonus wagering requirements. They won’t cut your bankroll to pieces like a chainsaw.
Rumble Rhino Megaways is the first Megaways slot from Pariplay. That pardons its faults to a degree, but not entirely. There are plenty of rough edges which spoil the fun. Personally, Pariplay could have at least take a few pointers from Big Time Gaming’s playbook. It didn’t pay off, but perhaps it will do better going forward.
For a better Megaways experience, check out Red Tiger Gaming’s, NFT Megaways. It can produce up to 200,704 ways to win and a jackpot of 10,500x your bet. It has bonuses galore and Cascades with win multipliers. They increase by +1x with each Cascade you get, so they can spiral out of control quickly. NFT Megaways also comes with plenty of Internet memes and references!
