Released in the Spring of 2016 Betsoft’s latest installment, Frankenslot’s slots is simply scintillating. The 3D non-progressive slots machine has 20 paylines and 5 reels. The house edge is 3.2% and the maximum jackpot payout is 5,000 coins for 5 Wild icons. The graphics and animations are simply top-draw. Frankenstein is hailed by many as one of the world’s first monsters. That said, castle Frankenstein was named after the scientist instead of the monster.
Against the backdrop of the reels you’ll see the mad scientist’s laboratory. The authenticity of the game is further enhanced by a bubbling glass sphere, electrical wires, loads of dials, gauges and weird-looking machines. Not to be outdone by the game’s graphics is the audio. It heightens the game’s theme like a glove. During payouts it becomes more animated.
Nearly two centuries ago Mary Shelley wrote the famous horror novel, Frankenstein. But it’s James Whale’s adaption of the 1931 film that turned an otherwise friendly monster played by Boris Karloff into the beast it is today.
Frankenslot’s Monster is loaded with wilds, scatters and bonus games. In the left corner of your screen is the monster tied down to a vertical bench and to the right of it is Frankenstein. With the goggles strapped tightly to his head he’s looking nutty as a fruitcake. Paying icons on the reels are the monster, Doctor Frankenstein, glass jar with eye in it, moon, wild, scatter, charging devices and cards from 10 to Ace. The lowest paying symbol in the game is the ’10’.
The coin size is 0.02 up to 1.00. If you’re ready to scream ”It’s Alive” click or press the spin button. The minimum bet per spin is $0.4 up to $100. High rollers with a minimum budget of $5,000 can win as much as 30% on top of their bankrolls.
If you’re a high value player and prepared to take a risk this is what I propose. Play the first 15 free spins at the max. bet of $100 ($1,500). If you fail to trigger a bonus game during your first 15 spins reduced your bet per spin. The game offers a relatively high payout percentage of 96.8% and pays out regularly even at the highest bet level. What I’m saying here is your chances of triggering the free spins (hitting 3 scatters) or bonus game is pretty good. When the wild icon appears it substitutes adjacent symbols except the scatter symbol.
- Free Spins: What’s a 3D slots machine without a free spins bonus game? To be honest dull and drab. Luckily this is not the case with Frankenslot’s Monster. When 3 scatter symbols appear any where on the reels you’ll receive 8 free spins. Before the payouts are calculated one or two symbols will turn wild offering additional payouts. I was fortunate enough to trigger the free spins game twice. The payouts I received weren’t spectacular and 8 free spins is a tad on the low side for me. It would have been nice if the developers awarded a minimum of 10 free spins. Then again with so many high-paying icons on the reels I consider it a minor blip. While the free spins game is in motion and you hit another 3 scatters additional free spins are awarded. The scatters appear on reels 2, 3 and 4.
- Bonus Game: The bonus game is triggered when 3 bonus icons appear. A new screen opens up where the monster is tied down to the vertical bench. To control the shock delivered to the monster adjust the settings on the switch panel. Once you’re ready hit the pull button and an electric shock will be transmitted to the monster. You’ll see sparks flying in all directions. The monster might bark like a dog or roar like a lion. Either way you’ll receive a handsome payout. You can win as much as 25 times your initial stake. The bonus symbol appears on reels 1, 3 and 5.
- Gamble Feature: After each win you can double your wins by clicking on heads or tails. You can wager all or 50% of your winnings. I advise you to use it with caution.
In the graphic department Frankenslot’s Monster is superb. It offers substantial payouts during the base and bonus games. I don’t often say this but it’s relatively easy to trigger the free spins. However, I still don’t get the gist of the bonus game though since you only get to flick a switch to see what happens. Despite the regular payouts, I’d say this is just another 3D slots by Betsoft with wilds, scatters and a bonus game.
