Where to play?
Play N’ Go is no willy nilly when it comes to slots with quality themes and in-play bonus modes. A game that I thoroughly enjoy is Eye of the Kraken. It’s based on the legendary sea monster and I consider it one of the vendor’s best slots releases yet. With 9 reels, 8 paylines and a 3×3 grid you can win up to 500 times your stake. The graphics and animations are in tune with the game’s theme. At times the audio can be a bit daunting but what more can you expect with a Kraken lurking in the deep blue sea.
The slots machine comes with loads of bonus games, a click me bonus, pattern wins, free spins and multipliers. All I can say is that the game is already off to a good start. According to legend the Kraken was a mythical sea monster that lived off the coast of Greenland and Norway. Experts believe it could have been sightings of giant squid that spurned the legend. But, the sheer size of the Kraken (50 to 60 feet tentacles) dwarfs any size squid and deserves its places among the annals of mythological creatures.
Eye of the Kraken offers a total jackpot of 50,000 coins and the house edge of the slots is 3.8% which leaves you with a return to player (RTP) percentage of 96.2%. You must collect 50 torpedoes to trigger the main bonus game but you need a decent bankroll to do so. Based on my playing experience 100 spins will do. During the main game the Kraken wild is responsible for all the action. Symbols that appear on the reels are the Kraken, torpedoes, the captain, dive masks, navigator, oxygen tanks, compasses and treasure chests.
The coin range is 0.01 up to 10.0. If you want to take things slow you can bet £$0.20 up to £$100 per spin. You can change the graphics and reel speed as you please.
Wilds: If you’re expecting traditional wilds rest assured there aren’t. The Kraken is the wild. When it appears the screen shakes while it wraps its tentacles around the symbols. If you’re lucky enough and all the symbols are turned into wilds you can win as much as 160 times your stake.
Dive Mode (free spins): Five diving helms triggers the Dive Mode. You’ll get 9 free spins. The wild is the Kraken’s eye and the scatter symbol is the treasure chest. When 9 treasure chests show up on the reels you can win up to 150 times your stake. Hopefully you’ll have enough cash in pocket to trigger the Kraken bonus.
Kraken and Torpedoes Bonus: By now you would have noted the torpedoes on your screen. Once you have collected 50 torpedoes a new screen opens up. You’ll see the Kraken holds 6 boxes, one in each tentacle. Three of the boxes contain cash prizes while the other three are empty. The cash prizes vary from 2x up to 500x your stake.
Pattern Wins: You can win 10 times your bet if you get the same symbol in the four corners of the grid. When the same symbol is in the centre of all the sides you can win up to 5 times your stake.
Kraken is an interactive slots that’s teeming with bonus games and an arresting theme so kudos to Play N’ Go. It’s a medium variance slots that’s crisply designed and very entertaining to boot. It won’t make you rich but the jackpot payout of 500x your bet is enough to get you playing and to brave the monster.
