Where to play?
Electric Tiger from IGT (International Game Technology) is a medium to high variance video slot with 15 paylines, 5 reels and pays a 3,000 coin jackpot (non-progressive) on a single spin.
The base game is packed with colourful imagery, a sublime audio track as well as two in-play bonus rounds: The first is the Wheel Bonus with expanding wilds and the second is the Wheel Shot Bonus that offers spectacular payouts on each winning spin. We’ll discuss both these bonus modes in more detail in a bit.
Symbol on the reels are cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, 4-leaf clover, horshoes, golden bells, pink diamonds and watermelons. The symbol worth keeping an eye on is the pink diamond, at the maximum bet per spin 5 of them on the reels pay 32x your stake. But, the symbol that offers the top cash prize is the Electric Tiger which also happens to be the wild, 5 of them on the reels pay 120x your stake.
The RTP or average return to player percentage of Electric Tiger although not disclosed hovers around the 96% mark. It’s not your average tiger themed slots since it plays more like a fruity slots you’ll find at your local pub.
You can start spinning the reels from £0.25 up to £10 per spin, it’s playable on mobile phones and PC desktops plus it can be played with free credits. If you want to take a break from the game but still want to keep on playing, you can use the Auto Play feature, it spins the reels for you automatically.
The wild symbol is the Electric Tiger, winning combinations are completed by it when it substitutes symbols adjacent to it. It’s an interesting wild because it is also an expanding wild, when it pops up on the reels (Expanding Wild Feature) up to 5 reels can be transformed into wilds! The net result is a top payout of $18,000 on a single spin!
In terms of in-play bonus rounds there’s a Wheel Bonus that awards players one spin on the wheel. Then there’s the Wheel Slot Bonus that has different wheels, each offering unique cash prizes with a total of 500 jumps.
Wheel Bonus Wheel
The Star symbol is important because it can trigger any one of the two bonus rounds, keep in mind that the Star only appears on the third reel. Once the Wheel Bonus Wheel is triggered one spin is offered on the most valuable wheel, the top cash prize that can be won here is an amazing 500x your stake.
Wheel Shot Bonus
Once the bonus is triggered a new screen opens displaying a bunch of wheels. Let’s say you land on the yellow arrow, not only will you move onto the next wheel but you’ll win the cash prize it landed on. Watch out for the green arrow (you don’t want to land on it) because if you land on it you’ll move one position backwards on the wheel, the bonus round will also come to an abrupt end. The amount of jumps available is 500 with plenty of goodies up for grabs.
We underestimated IGT’s Electric Tiger, initially we though it’s a ‘lame’ slots that has little to offer, how wrong we were. Yes, it doesn’t have a free spins feature which that takes the shine of it a bit, but it does offer a top win of 1,800x your stake on one spin when you score a full screen of Electric Tiger wilds. The Wheel Shot Bonus is not too shabby either since you can score successive wins providing you don’t land on the green arrow. The trick to winning big is to land 3 or more wilds or cashing in on those ‘jumps’ during the Wheel Shot Bonus.
