Where to play?
It’s not often I stumble upon a slots machine that’s just downright funny. At times you just play a game to experience its antics and Costume Party video slots by Rival is one of them. If I can sum it up in a few words it will be something along these lines: Hilarious, audacious and original!
The game introduces three main characters to the reels. The first is dressed as a cowboy, the second a knight and last but not least is the female super hero. The slots throws a curve ball and this is where you come in. Their heads, bodies and legs get mixed up and your job is to match them together again.
With 3 reels and 3 paylines there are 8 unique outfits that needs to be matched. The game kicks off with the chicken suit, nurse, cowboy, female superhero, knight, astronaut, witch and then there’s the monster. Every costume is vividly colored and each character has its own cash prize. The payout also depends on how many coins per spin you wager. Costumer Party offers an average return to player (RTP) payout of 95% to the player or an edge to the house of 5%. It’s a non-progressive jackpot that offers a total jackpot cash prize of 5,000 coins.
This 3 reel works is different than most slots machines because the reels spin sideways; the characters and the paylines appear vertically. The smallest bet per spin is $0.01. If you experienced a nice spin and want to maximize your profit you can wager up to $5 per spin. Just a quick heads up. VIP players receive comps every time they play. Once you’ve accrued a certain amount of comps they can be exchanged for real cash.
‘Select Coins’ is where you can choose to play up to 3 (the maximum on this slot). Clicking ‘Characters’ selects from 1 to 3 of them per spin. When you click on this tab the spotlight falls on each character you’ve picked. If you’re in the Play for Real mode you can click ‘Auto’ to spin with a pre-determined number of options. Begin the party by clicking ‘Spin’.
As stated previously, up to three characters can be triggered. When you first start playing the game the characters cannot be seen in the paytable. But if you succeed in matching up a character it pops up with hilarious results. A couple of them even do a jig against the backdrop of the reels.
Costume Party Payouts
The wild icon is the gorilla’s torso. When it lands on the center reel it substitutes all the other icons to finish off a character. The symbol that offers the top payout is Frankenstein. This is what you’ll earn:
- 1 coin wagered pays 1,800 coins.
- 2 coins wagered pays 3,600 coins
- 3 coins wagered pays 5,400 coins
The symbol that offers the second highest payout is the Witch:
- If you played 1 coin you’ll win 500 coins
- 2 coins played pays out 1,000 coins
- 3 coins played pays 1,500 coins
Costume Party slots is downright funny. It’s the most innovative Rival slots I’ve played in a long time. It takes some time to match up all the characters though so you might go easy on your bankroll. If you don’t play sensibly your cash could disappear like a paper in a bonfire. It would have been a spectacular slots had the developers added a bonus game, scatters and multipliers. Entertainment wise great but it won’t make you rich. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’ll give it a 6 for value.
