Book Of Tombs
Book of Tombs is a video slot from Booming Games. It’s not the biggest software developer, yet it released a few decent titles. The slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 10 paylines. With online 10 win lines it leaves little room to strike up plenty of winning combo’s. That said, it will suffice for now.
Book of Tombs is another slot with an ancient Egyptian theme. Yeap, there’s no shortage of them in supply but we love the theme. Let’s just say we’re armchair archaeologists. When an opportunity arises where we can dig for a bit of treasure on the reels – we’ll take it. The graphics and the animations of the slots for real money is high. The game art has that glossy look.
The top win is 5,504x of your bet. You can win a lot if you get lucky, that’s for sure! It’s not the biggest paying Egyptian-themed video slot on the market, but it’s good.
You can play Book of Tombs from €0.10 to €75 per spin. Needless to say, players from all walks of life can play it. Book of Tombs is available at our fast withdrawal casinos online for European gamblers. You can also play it on the go as a mobile slot. That’s a fine way of playing it as well, since it’s great for quick game sessions. Just make sure to grab an online casino bonus before you start playing! Note, we advise you kindly to check the bonus terms before you accept a bonus.
The volatility of Book of Tombs is high. That means that you can expect a bunch of non-winning spins. Talking of which, the slots online has a decent hit freqeuncy of 34.17%. You should get a winner on every third spin which we confirmed during our testing.
The theoretical RTP of Book of Tombs is 95.42%. That’s a bit below average, so somewhat disappointing. We’d like to mention Booming Games’ slot machines have relatively low RTPs. In other words, many of them are below 96%.
The symbols are you standard Egyptian fare. You’ve got two categories, low-paying symbols and high-paying symbols. The low-value ones are the usual card ranks. They have bright colors, but that’s about it. The high-paying symbols are much better.
You can look forward to vases, ancient Egyptian gods (well, one of them at least) and even fellow adventurers. The production values are decent and the Egyptian vibes are strong throughout.
The payouts system is basic. This means that you need to get three matching symbols on a payline to snag a win. The payouts for low-paying symbols are well small. Three of them on a payline won’t even give you your stake back. It’s worth noting that when it comes to the high value symbols it’s a different matter. For example, when 5 adventurers pitch the payout is 750x!
Book of Tombs has a couple of bonus rounds that rely mainly on its Wild Scatters. These symbols can appear anywhere on the board. They can work as both Wilds and Scatters. That means they can substitute for other symbols and also trigger other features.
Land 3+ Wild Scatters leads to the Unlimited Free Spins Feature. It will always net you 8 free spins, but the point is that there are unlimited retriggers. This means that you can always find more Scatters to get more free spins – no limits!
All free spins also come with Expanding Symbols. The game’s engine choose a random symbol for you. Whenever it land during a free spin, it expands to cover more positions. You can have as many as 9 different Expanding Symbols if you get lucky!
After any standard win, you can also choose to go for the Gamble Feature. It’s a small mini-game that allows you to double or quadruple your win. You only need to guess the color or the suit of a face-down card.
As always, we tried Book of Tombs on our own. We sat down with a decent bankroll of CAD$400 and started playing. At first, we had little luck and were able to get only a couple of small payouts. We played for CAD$1 per spin.
Since the volatility clocks around a 8/10 on the Casinowhizz slots scale. It’s best to keep your bets within the confines of your bankroll. Otherwise it’s bye bye money in now time. Moreover, please don’t blame those pesky tomb robbers for your loss!
Most payouts were in the region of CAD$0.75 to CAD$5. Luckily we were able to trigger the Unlimited Free Spins once during our 100 test spins. We got a good Expanding Symbol, but we didn’t get any bonus Scatters for more free spins. So nothing unlimited, but 8 free spins nonetheless. They paid nicely to the tune of about CAD$50+ thanks to those symbol expansions.
There Auto Play feature comes in handy, which is nice. You need to make sure that you play conservatively, though. Book of Tombs can be tight with its payouts. The published hit rate of a payout on every third spin is right. Regrettably, the low-value symbols don’t offer much by way of payouts.
Book of Tombs is a mid-range Egyptian-theme slot machine. It has nothing innovative on offer and its lowish RTP isn’t inspiring either. You might want to try it for its 5,504x payout potential though. The Free Spins Feature is worth it as well, as it can go on indefinitely. The low-paying symbols are a bit bland, though – Booming Games could’ve done a better job there.
If you’d like to play other Egyptian-themed games, we can recommend Ramses Revenge and Return of the Dead. Both games have more special features than Book of Tombs. There’s a Mysetry sandstone feature, a Buy Option and free spins with big multipliers!
