Alice Adventure slots is inspired by Lewis Carroll’s 1865 book, Alice in Wonderland. Ever since he wrote the book it’s been deemed a classic. The story tells the tale about Alice and her journey down the rabbit hole to a fantasy land. The game continues where the book left off. It introduces loads of interesting and fantasy characters to the world of virtual gaming. The games has 30 paylines, 5 reels and offers a top non-progressive jackpot payout of 1,000 coins.
The same characters that appeared in the books grace the reels and add a nice arc to the game. We have Alice, the devious Queen of Hearts, mad hatter, the white rabbit, the Cheshire cat and caterpillar. The slots has that cartoon like look and feel. Even the spin button looks like a mushroom. The game’s audio has a swirling sound to it but as the slots progresses it becomes quite upbeat. The house edge of the slots 4.6% which gives you a return to player (RTP) of 95.4%. Expect regular payouts during the base game but they’re small. I consider the slots machine to be low to medium variance. It features a scatter, wilds and a free spins bonus mode.
A feature that strikes me about the game is that the betting range is quite limited. The coin range is 0.01 to 0.02 and the maximum bet per spin is £$6. Which makes it suitable to low and medium staked players. Otherwise Alice Adventure has impressive multipliers.
Wilds: This game is all about the wilds. The wild icons is the one with ‘Alice 1’, ‘Alice 2’, ‘Alice 3’, and ‘Alice 5’ on it. The wilds are as prominent on the reels as fleas on a dog. The multipliers attached to them range from 2x, 3x up to 5x. At least they give you something to smile about during the main game and your bankroll ticking over.
Scatter: I’ve noted that the scatters in the iSoftBet games don’t carry the same weight as they do in the NetEnt and Microgaming slots. Normally they’re responsible for triggering the free spins-not here. The scatter icon is the grinning Cheshire cat. If three of them show up on the reels you can win as much as 5 time your stake. Four of them pays out 10 times and 5 of them pays 25 times your stake.
Free Spins: If three ‘drink-me’ bottles appear on your screen the ‘Alice Adventure’ bonus game is triggered. An animation clip plays where Alice is as big as a house. You’ll be prompted to click on the bottle that says: ‘Drink Me’. When Alice drinks from the bottle she shrinks and three doors appear, you must choose one:
- The first door offers you 5 free spins with a multiplier of 6x on all wins.
- The middle door offers you 8 free spins with multiplier win of 8 times.
- The third door awards you 15 free spins but no multiplier wins.
I picked the middle door (8 free spins) and won £35 when the wilds showed up at an average bet of £$2.40 per spin. What I’m trying to say here is watch out for the wild symbols. They appear quite often during the free spins boosting wins. The trick of the free spins is to land those wilds as quickly as possible on reels 1, 2 or 3. If two appear you’ll be grinning like that Cheshire cat.
Alice Adventure is a ‘solid’ slots but it does not rank as one of my favourites. It’s a low to medium range game that offers loads of wilds and free spins wins with multipliers. It’s exciting and entertaining to boot but it won’t make you rich. The scatter is just another paying icon and not responsible for triggering the free spins.
